Thoughts on PhotoShop

today is the day I need to express my thoughts of Photoshop: I am a self-taught user of photoshop 6 and find that the program has many strong feature. The reading of many books and tutorials did not pass me by. So does this make me an expert user of the program? An honest anwser is "no" If it took multiple designers to come up with this program how could one artist say that he or she knows the program and now needs to move on to bigger and better things? Most of my friends has done just that, by moving on to Photoshop CS2. Before you CS2 user go into an outrage, Please understand the program is wonderful and has many new advantages, if your looking for a fast way of doing a project. Plus I have to admit it does produce a clear reproduction of your work. A while back I submitted a basic tutorial to a website called Developing Webs. The tutorial was about the Graphic pen tool. My so-called friends who are all using CS2 were telling me that my tutorial does not work. The point that I'm trying to make is should I give up photoshop 6, a program that I like, so I can say that I'm running CS2 the newest thing on the block?
